We would like to welcome you to our website and tell you a little bit about our campground.
The property operated as Dakus Campgrounds from the late 1970’s to 1999. Prior to that it was owned by an order of Catholic Nuns as a retreat at which time some original structures were built. The oldest title on record dates back to May 16 1924, when a gentleman named Frank Tate bought the place for a mere $5.00. The property changed hands in 1999 and was renamed Kacikewin RV Campground & Cabins in 2000.
The name “Kacikewin” (pronounced KA TSEEK A WIN) is the Cree word for hideaway.
